"Why I Paint Angels"

The following is the story of the "Path of Illumination"
that I continue to walk, with Angels, in gratitude and devotion.

I was born with what doctors believed, at the time, to be cancer.
My mother, who is a great source of inspiration to me, did not allow medical procedures to be performed
that would leave me with only a short life. She consistently taught me to stretch beyond survival,
working in tandem with the medical community and for 12 years,
with Doctor Blackford, my dedicated and loving Naturopath.
She took a strong stand, during my last rites, and said, "No" and took me from the hospital.
My family moved from the rural farm country where I was born,
to be near the Children's Orthopedic Hospital in Seattle.

It was difficult for me to find the faith and confidence I needed years later when my
Doctor told me my condition was becoming life threatening.
I prepared myself to go ahead with a surgery that would be my thirty sixth
and was surprised and happy to reflect that I had survived and with
a couple more months of rest I would be back to normal,
when suddenly, from one moment to the next, my condition took a turn for the worse.
I found myself in a very familiar place of surrender, of leaving my body, dying.

The Angel "Joy" came to me, in that instant in the most glorious way.
She filled the sky, her hair, wings and ribbons whipping in the wind.
The sound and energy was infinite, huge and beautiful.
She carried me to a beautiful valley where she said to me without words,
that it wasn't time for me to leave, that I had work to do.
Her powder blue gown began to change into a deep, blood red crimson.
The red of it became like fire, too hot for me to be in the presence of.
I looked away from her, down at my chest to see if I was burning.
Joy had tricked me back into my body.
I opened my eyes with the faith and confidence that I was unable to connect with before.
Everything felt so different.  I knew I had to reach a doctor, go to the hospital and
take care of my body, but that I was going to be just fine, that I was going to live a long and productive life.
Joy had used color as one of her tools to speak to me with and color to guide me back into my body.
For the next year I heard, "Paint me." and so I did.
First I painted The Angel Joy, representing the crown chakra,
the color of violet which is comprised of the two colors that Joy used to reconnect me with the life force, blue and red.
As I began to paint, six other Angels came to me all at once, each representing one of the seven chakras.
Grace  Patience & Harmony  Freedom  Innocence
Finally the 1st Chakra Angel the Mother and essence of all love, Prima, with her message,
"We are all One"

Needless to say, I live a life of joy and gratitude.
My family, friends and The Angels that have touched me throughout this journey are dear to me, beyond words.
Their courage and tenderness continue to inspire me, infusing me with the passion to express and
share these memories, visions, messages and gifts.

Exotic melodies from "Upon the River Joy" and "Seven Songs for Seven Angels" reflect the energy and
love of each angel with harmonically balanced music and meditation.
